2018 is tomorrow and the only thing different then the beginning of 2017 is the amount of repost accounts on Instagram. There were possibly more NBD’s in 2017 then any single year in the last 5 years but unfortunately most of them fell into the category of SBD (shouldn’t have been done). With everything crazy going on in the ski world, the good content will always prevail.
Park clip of the year: The Beanery
You don’t see many family vids (unless you’re watching the #Harringtonbros™️) but these crazy cousins leave it all on the field, and it’s filmed and edited by Mckin. Brewer did a lot of switch 2’s on last season and Gildweezy did a lot of nose butters but the ones in this video go harder then you thought possible. Brewbaby has the best modern day head bang and skis really fast.
Street vid of the Year: Eat the Nuts
Ya’ll ready know this. I can count on one hand the amount of people making full length street skiing videos, let alone having them be proper. Everyone’s segment was completely different in there own ways but they still complement each other to create a timeless masterpiece. Never start eating chips. Thank you hg :).
Z.S. Skier of the year: Peter Christensen
Joss Christensen’s brother aka Burrito Boi aka Burrito Peeto is fun to watch even if he’s just straight sliding a rail or skiing down a trail. He probably had the best vimeo account upload to ZS post ratio last winter as well as having some shots in Roasted and making a full summer ski video. Only Skier I’ve seen 5050 1 swap pretz 1 ( Besides Skiz ), and one of the few people that doesn’t put their vids on NS.
Crack Jack’s summer video from the #swissvolcano has some great lines.
This Burrito Boi clip is actuallythe last thing from the volcano that will be posted this year. Jk it just snowed there and Tommy Two Timer is spending the winter in Govy so the Mt.Hood content will be constant for the existence of this website.
Spring vibes Zermatt footage from a foreign brother who goes by the name of Crack Jack.
“After enjoying a satisfying breakfast at Straw Market (straw-market.com/), Anders Fornelius, Forster Meeks, and I set out to do some skiing in the Salt Lake City streets. Anders did not have very much time to spare and landed all these tricks first try before heading into work later this afternoon”- Freed. A 30 second insight into what an average day in the SLC streets with A4 looks like. Why is Freed posting this now? Why does he link to straw market?
Quote of the week: “You gotta film the goof with Mang(o), cuz that’g gonna be the wet”- Joe Joe
Freeskier magazine these days is mostly filled with gear reviews of products that you would buy your Dad for Christmas. Amongst the snow reports and gore-tex they recently interviewed Brady Perron, one of the greatest to ever do it in just about every aspect of skiing.
The sky is one big doom cloud even on the sunny days in Riley’s new hood montage which also features Corn and Uncle Dave.
New pulp. Scream compilation and Frank getting real dirty.
“I just wanna be a straight up resort shredder and try to push resort skiing into some funky directions.” The first part of a multi-part interview with Magnus hosted by squid skiing, an instagram page that actually has a lot of squids skiing.
